 Subhasis Ganguli who is the President of the Calcutta Wine Club welcomed the Founder Members & Associate Members along with guests and dignitaries for this special occasion where an anniversary cake was cut by the 11 Founder Members.
A presentation was given by Anindita Sarbadacari, Club Hony. Secretary. She showcased the monthly wine tastings and wine dinners organized by the club over the past one year.
UB sponsored Four Seasons Wines Shiraz, Chenin Blanc & Blush Rose were served to the guests along with finger snacks from The Park. All three varietals of The Four Seasons were highly appreciated by one and all, writes PPK Mitter, a Founder Member.
Sonia Sehgal entertained the august gathering with her repertoire of jazz numbers.
The Calcutta Wine Club was registered under the West Bengal Societies Act on 16th July'2008. They have currently 50 members. The membership fee is Rs. 5,000/- per annum for couples.
The club organised monthly tastings on last Friday of the month at The Palladian Lounge and every quarter they have the winemakers or wine dinners.
The club is having their 1st AGM today along with the election for the office bearers.
