March 03: Cavaliere Subhash Arora, President of the Indian Wine Academy, who has been promoting wine culture in India for the last 25 years of wines and is a de-facto Ambassador of wines, and has also been a wine and food Consultant / Expert Opinion, has been nominated for the global Award in each of these categories separately, by the Ukraine- based Drinks+ Media group, with the top five nominees in each category shortlisted by the popular votes and finally the winner to be selected by a jury of international wine experts
The Award holds a special significance; despite the horrible and criminal invasion by the neighbouring Russia against Ukraine, the former member State of USSR and an independent country since 1991 and despite the recent incessant bombings, the organisers have been working diligently and carrying on the Show, despite the adversities. Therefore, if you vote for the Nomination, you are also supporting Ukraine.
There are two categories in Which Cavaliere Subhash Arora has been nominated:
1. Ambassador of the Year (#127)
and
2. Wine and Food Consultant / Expert opinion (#128)
‘I am embarrassed requesting anyone to vote for me in the popular category as I have never done it before, even when I was awarded the prestigious Cavaliere Award by the President of Italy in 2009 or when I was awarded the prestigious OIV Medal of Merit (the only Indian ever awarded this medal so far) or even when I was nominated 4 years in a row as the Best Foreign International Wine Journalist by Grandi Cru d’Italia,’ says Arora.
