Sep 28: After successfully launching the Italics WINE CLUB in Mumbai and Angels of Italian Wine in Mumbai, the Indo Italian- Chamber of Commerce and Industry plans to formally launch the Club in Bangalore (Bengaluru) at Hotel Park on October 13, 2017 followed by the 2-day course program ‘Angels of Italian Wine’ October 13-14, says Claudio Maffioletti, Secretary General of all the Chambers in India, in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata, Chennai and Bangalore
Informing delWine, Claudio Maffioletti , Secretary General of the India Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry says, “ I am very happy to say that after a successful Launch in Mumbai and a pre-inauguration Launch in Delhi recently, we are ready to launch our first training program Angels of Italian Wine in Bangalore on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th of October at The Park Hotel on MG Road. ‘the objective of the programme is to train and prepare promoters of Italian wine and wine culture according to a set of skills defined and recognized by Italian stakeholders in the wine industry, and certified by an independent third party,’
‘This training program is part of the newly established Italics Wine Club Bangalore, a community of people brought together by the love of Italy and of Italian wines, looking to acquire an in-depth knowledge of Italian wine culture’, he added. Stressing the different style of content and certification of the 2-day course, he said that it was different than other wine courses since it really touched several aspects of Italian gastronomy and culture.

‘Becoming one of the Angels of Italian Wine In India will allow the Bangalore people to be recognised worldwide for their knowledge of Italian Wines and Wine Culture, thanks to the independent testing by the certifying body. The First Level of the training program will consist of frontal presentations and interactive sessions, wine tastings and wine & food pairings, led by a faculty of Indian and Italian experts,’ he says.
Cesare Saccani , CEO of ICMQ India, an international, independent certifying body well recognised in India for diversified construction projects, says the unique character of a separate independent body conducting the exams, makes it a universally accepted programme.
At the end of the program, the participants are expected to get introductory knowledge of:
1. The Geography and Mapping of Italian Wines
2. Italian Wine Civilization: History, Culture, Art and Sociability Related to Italian Wine
3. Italian Food and Wine Pairing
4. Storytelling and marketing of Italian Wine
Those attending this fee-based course will be given a Participation Certificate issued by the Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce. Those wishing to appear in an examination and get certified, will have the possibility to appear in an exam to be conducted by ICMQ and acquire the first Level of the ‘Alfiere Italico – Wine Cultore’ certificate issued by ICMQ India. The programme will eventually be conducted eventually at all the centers where the Chambers are functioning.
