SulaFest 2025: A Star is Reborn in the Wine Capital of India on February 1
Sulafest was sorely missed for the last 5 years when it was discontinued for various reasons but mainly due to Covid-19 but it came back with a bang a week ago to a happy crowd that gave Thumbs up to the revival of this popular 2-day wine and music festival of India- A Star was Reborn on February 1. It was the first time for hundreds of visitors who had heard exciting tales about this fun event and were thrilled to be a part of its comeback edition-blending music, wine, diverse and delicious food and bonhomie once again. For many, it was a Déjà vu last Saturday.
Sulafest welcomed an enthusiastic crowd of over 10,000 young and not-so-young people of all ages, who had congregated for the soul-stirring performances and enjoying gourmet foods and a variety of premier wines from Sula Vineyards, with experiences they would share with their families and friends for months to come. In the process, perhaps it added hundreds of people who tasted wine for the first time.
The open-air amphitheater at Sula Vineyards reverberated by sounds of some of the biggest names in the music industry, with performances that had attendees tapping their feet throughout the weekend. From the powerful beats of DIVINE to the dynamic sounds of Ritviz x Karan Kanchan, OAFF x Savera, When Chai Met Toast, Dualist Inquiry, Madboy/Mink, Ankur & The Ghalat Family, Parvaaz, Pink Moss, Easy Wanderlings, Hamza x Rajasthani Folkstars, Frizzell D’Souza, Wild Wild Women, and Kale karma, each act contributed to the festival’s high-energy atmosphere. As had already been announced, this time around only the Indian musical groups were invited for the eclectic performances. And they did not disappoint and in fact, setting new benchmarks.
None was as pleased and excited as Rajeev Samant, Founder and CEO of Sula Vineyards, who had conceptualized the event almost 2 decades ago and invested hundreds of hours of his personal time bringing it to an enviable level before suspending it for an undisclosed period. The return of SulaFest after five years was nothing short of remarkable, according to him.
An impressive line up
The festival’s success was powered by an incredible lineup of sponsors, with Citroën leading as the Title Sponsor, alongside Ugaoo and Leverage Edu as the ‘Powered By’ Sponsors, and Paul & Mike and Istana-Luxury Villa as Associate Sponsors. Their contributions added to the energy and scale of the event, creating an unmatched experience for attendees who had travelled from far and wide.
Visitors indulged in gourmet chocolates by Paul & Mike, paired with Sula’s premier wines, including the Kunafa chocolates from Dubai and other delectable treats from artisanal producers. For wine lovers, SulaFest was a dream come true, featuring exclusive tastings, including the newly launched The Source Moscato, paired with artisanal cheese and chocolates. The vineyard selection stood out, while the grape stomping still added a playful touch. Visitors enjoyed crafted premium wines selections from The Source, RĀSĀ and Dindori Reserve, keeping their spirits high.

Wines and More
As a policy, this edition kept away from spirits, But beer was an exception and as a low alcohol beverage. The beer aficionados found it a good experience with refreshing Kingfisher Ultra Max brews, enhancing the festival’s beverage experience.
Beyond wine, the festival was a rich culinary experience, with indulgent shakes from Dairy Don, Amore’s artisanal gelato, and gourmet creations from Café Arabia, The Bombay Food Truck, The Belgian Waffle Co. Happy Momo’s, Domino’s and Andebazz’s inventive egg dishes offered excellent varieties to the crowd which seemed to love the varieties.
As the sun set over the lush vineyards and the music carried on, SulaFest 2025 proved to be more than just a festival—it was a celebration of life, music, and the timeless joy of great wine.
Jai Ho to the magic of SulaFest!! It has been a feather in Sula’s proverbial cap and besides taking the biggest wine company-in public and private domain in India, it has been directly and indirectly instrumental in making the company a force to reckon with in the wine tourism too, despite the multiple challenges and the headaches it might have given to the organisers over the years.
