The competition will provide a unique platform for Indian sommeliers and wine professionals to demonstrate their technical expertise, creativity, and service acumen. Designed in a dynamic format, it comprises quarterfinals, semifinals, and the exciting grand finale. Participants will be judged by the panel of National and International wine professionals.
The top three winners will be awarded an all-expenses-paid trip to Singapore to attend an ASI Education Bootcamp. The next two steps will be contesting in the2025 ASI Best Sommelier of Asia & Pacific Competition in Malaysia with the Grand Finale in 2026 ASI Best Sommelier of the World Competition in Portugal for the top Award of Best Sommelier of the World. Naturally, the Awards will boost the careers of winners in the global wine industry.

This is one of the key initiatives of SAI to organise the current SAI Best Sommelier of India Competition on 23 January 2025, as a stepping stone to the ASI Best Sommelier of Asia & Pacific Competition 2025 and then the 2026 ASI Contest Best Sommelier of the World Competition
