Vinitaly Indian Roadshow in Delhi on 7-8 March a Must-Visit Show
Vinitaly is one of the top wine shows in the world where you can taste the widest possible range of Italian wines. The 4-day annual show is to be held in the traditional venue in Verona on April 6-9. It is attended by several Indian importers, distributors and other wine operators. Held in April, it follows Vinexpo Paris in February and Prowein in Germany on 16-18 March which has some of the best collection of Italian wines with the presence of maximum foreign wines and Italian producers.
These back-to-back Shows for 3 months make it difficult to plan a visit to Vinitaly being the last in the series. Vinitaly has over the years organised Vinitaly Roadshows in the Vinitaly around the World project to increase its reach. The relatively recent initiative Vinitaly around the World, in the US, China, South America in several cities. One such event has been initiated this year; on March 7-8 Delhi will become the venue for Vinitaly for 2 days.
The Vinitaly India offers the opportunity for excellent networking between Italian producers and wholesalers, importers, distributors, HoReCa operators, sommeliers, Restaurant and hotel wine people and specialized media from the Indian market.
Born from the desire to connect Italian producers with buyers in the Indian market, Vinitaly India Roadshow aims to be the perfect event to consolidate its presence in a country where the wine & spirits sector is in full evolution and the consumers and importers have shown a great propensity for the wide range of Italian wines.
The initiatives of Vinitaly around the World are designed:
– To support companies in their internationalization process, generating business occasions on the main demand markets
– To increase the loyalty of the top international buyers toward Brand Italy and Italian wines
– To strengthen the link with journalists and trade press

to book your tickets and hotels, if you are from out of Delhi and of course, cancel all other appointments if in Delhi to be present at the event that is perhaps happening after around 17-18 years. When it was organised last time, it was a one-off program where top producers like Gaja, Masi, Mastroberardino, Villa Sandi and Pio Cesare had participated. This may not have resulted in huge business but it helped establish the superiority and uniqueness of Italian wines. It will hopefully be a renaissance and expansion of the Italian wine market in a country that loves Italian wines but offers an even great scope for value-for-money wines of diverse terroir and character.
